I really like this Rototiller/Cultivator as it really makes my work in the garden so much easier. This equipment really breaks up the soil and makes it more manageable and easy to work with and even seems to aerate the soil as well. I do not know what I would do without it now and how I actually got along without it in the past when I was doing everything with simple hand gardening tools. This is really great. The best in fact.

We were putting in a sidewalk to my wife's garden cottage. I was amazed at the power this little machine had! It plowed through the ground and Bermuda grass like a breeze. Great little machine that can compete with the larger tillers but is much more compact. Thanks DR!

A Real Powerhouse!
Posted by: MALINDA B. from MARIETTA, GA on 05/02/2016
Rating: Product Review Stars: 5.00 star rating
I have owned a Mantis gasoline tiller for 25 years, +/- and have been very happy with it. Now, however, at 73 years of age and female, I am not strong enough to start it by myself. (A man can, or a younger woman.)So, i purchased a DR Corded Rototiller/Cultivator. This little machine is a real powerhouse! I could not believe how well and fast it plowed my little backyard garden spot. It is very important to keep the cord away from the tines. No need to go into that more... I recommend this little machine very highly. The quality was no surprise, considering my previous experience with DR equipment.

Wheel bar was bent on arrival and tiller tipped over until the bar could be straightened. Might be a weakness as time goes on. Wheels are cheesy. I'm looking for replacements. Like the light weight, easy start and tough digging ability. Hope it lasts.

I love the tiller but it needs better instructions. It did not tell you how to assemble the wheels so of course I did them wrong. It also did not tell you how to mount the on/off control panel. I was able to get it assembled by trial and error.

I had purchased a gas powered tiller a few years ago for a company that's name is like an insect. I was very happy with it for about two years. I followed every direction. Due to the gas we use in NY, the engine started to fall apart. Every season I had to do a major repair. After about five years, I gave up. I was thinking of getting a new tiller when a friend recommended DR to me. After two months, I couldn't be more happy. Dealing with the cord is a bit of a pain but better than spending money year after year on repairs. It is very strong yet easy to maneuver. Great buy. Highly recomended

Previously, I had to rent a gas powered tiller; it was heavy, awkward to move from one place to another and usually beat me up in use; my garden space is limited to an 8' x 24' fenced plot and this DR Corded Rototiller is a simple, light-weight, compact machine that I can easily maneuver and transport. Thanks, DR for a product well done!

My brother has a another mfg model / electric. My DR electric is every bit it's equal at about 1/3 the price. I am just starting my fall tilling so I haven't really put it to the test, but so far I am pleased with the results. I am 82 years old and can no longer do all the gardens with a spading fork and shovel. Thanks for a great tool. Dan

Corded Tiller/Cultivator

I bought the corded tiller/cultivator for my small rural garden that I have been expanding each of the past 5 years. I find the tiller easy to work, however, did find that the wheel needs to be continually tightened, for it will fall off, and the small pieces needed to secure it are tough to find in my tilled soil. This machine does a good job of loosing up the soil and tilling it. As I am a slight woman of around 115 lbs, this machine was able to be operated by me, so likely suitable for most adults.

After a simple assembly and instructional video at the DR website, I pluged in my DR Corded Tiller/Cultivator to start my garden. The unit took off like a Wolverine. It took a couple of steps for me to realize the extreme power of this compact unit. It tilled up my packed dirt on the first pass which made planting a breeze. I wish I had one of these years ago before my blisters came using a hoe. Love-it!

yes we bought one of these for our Garden...it's 12 ft x 30 ft - we live in Az ... where the ground is very hard to brake into... but with a lot of water ...and then let it sit till nearly dry... it cut's ... really wants to pull you a long. My wife say's it is a work out just to do...only did part of it at first. with using the "Extension Cord Holder" it was every easy to handle the cord ... as long as you remember to keep it at your back... by pulling the wheel's up and out of the way it will go down deep... Lowe's sells one like this one... but it don't cut as wide as this one and it cost a bit more with out a warranty... Plus Dr Power stands behind every thing they sell.
