They're good, and they do exactly what they say they will do. I'm glad I have them. I even received a defective mat and it was replaced, no problem. But go into this project planning ahead. I had to install two 20 Amp circuits 10 mats at home to power the mats. Mats plus rewiring costs were over 2000. Still, I'm glad I have them.

The heating mats, five connected in series, worked great at keeping the ice and snow off my ramp. I'm glad they were available they saved me from getting up early to remove the snow and cast salt the length of the ramp.

Q.How many watts is 1 unit and how long is the cord that needs to be plugged in?
A.These are great questions. Thank you for inquiring. These walkway mats require a 120V outlet and each draws 2.5 amps. This equates to 300 watts per mat. The GFCI power unit cord is 6' long and can handle a maximum of 13 amps (5 mats). Each mat will come with a 2' extension cord which can either be used to connect 2 mats together or to extend the length of the power unit cord. Q.How long is one mat
A.The outdoor heated walkway mat measures 20" x 60" and will keep the ice from forming outside of your door. You can connect up to five mats on a single control unit which is sold separately. Each mat has water tight connectors that allows you to connect additional mats and stair treads.

The heated walkway mats are a great way to keep your home walkways safe and snow-free all winter long.

Thanks for your inquiry. ph

Q.Are the walk way mats safe to drive on? And what holds them in place?
A.Thank you for contacting us.

We do not recommend that you drive on the Heated Walkway Mats. There are 3/8 inch holes in the corners of the mats so you can install nails/spikes in to hold the mats in their place.

Please contact us if you have further questions. PL
