The battery is not the easiest thing to install. It is about as heavy as my last battery. The mower is also heavier than my last Dr mower. Overall it mows well and cleans up easily.

Works great but a little heavier than I expected. My husband ordered this for me but didn’t realize how much heavier than the other trimmers are.

Q.Can I use the larger 5.0 Ah Battery with any of the tools for which this 2.5 Ah Battery is recommended?
A.Yes. The battery we recommend for each tool is based on operating comfort weight and balance and the runtime normally associated with that tool. But using the larger battery is perfectly safe and will even double the runtime you can expect from each tool.

Q.Can I charge a 2.5 Ah Battery on a 5.0 Ah Charger or vice versa?
A.Yes. The battery and charger combinations are interchangeable. The 5.0 Charger will charge either battery twice as fast as the 2.5 Ah Charger will.

Q.Can I use the 2.5 Ah Battery with the DR PRO-21 or DR PRO-21SP Lawn Mower which come with a 5.0 Ah Battery?
A.Yes. While we recommend the 5.0 Ah Battery for the PRO-21 and PRO-21SP mowers, the 2.5 Ah Battery also works and is perfectly safe. However, it will reduce the run time per charge that you can expect on those mowers by about half compared to the 5.0 Ah Battery.
