DR PRO-PCH20 Water Pump

The DR PRO-PCH20 2" Chemical Water Pump features fiberglass-reinforced components designed to withstand contact with corrosive liquids like fertilizers and pesticides. It moves up to 164 GPM and can discharge pumped liquids up to 149 feet above the water source, making it a good choice for a wide range of agricultural and industrial uses. The durable steel frame provides protection on the jobsite and during transport.


Up and Running in Minutes!

Pumps can be confusing, so we have simplified. All DR Water Pumps are color coded, with GREEN used to show suction (or "intake") ports and BLUE to indicate discharge ports. This makes hooking up straight-forward and quick.

COLOR CODED FOR FAST HOOKUP
Connection points on pumps all look alike. So we've color coded DR Pumps so that, even if you're in a rush, it's easy to keep straight. GREEN = suction, and BLUE = discharge.

EASY PRIME FUNNEL
The most common way to damage a water pump is to start it up without priming first. That's why we make our priming funnel extra wide (2X many competitors), easily accessible, and clearly marked so that it's hard to miss.

This pump makes moving treated water easy! It is easy to prime, the hose connections are color-coded, and the pump is resistant to corrosion.

Q.What are the main differences between Clean Water, Semi-Trash, Trash Pumps, and Chemical Pumps?
A.Seals and impellers are the main difference. Clean Water Pumps typically have a carbon ceramic mechanical seal versus the silicon carbide mechanical seals found on a Semi-Trash and Trash Pumps. The impeller design is also quite different on a Trash Pump, it is typically a 2-vane design versus a 4-vane design to allow for larger particulate to flow through. in the case of a Chemical Pump, the typical iron and aluminum components are made from fiberglass reinforced nylon 66 to resist corrosion from potentially corrosive fluids including but not limited to herbicides, pesticides, and fertilizers.

Q.How do I know what size of pump I need?
A.It all depends on how much water you need to pump and how quickly you need to pump it. A pump's performance is determined by many factors, such as atmospheric pressure, how high the pump is above sea level, resistance from hoses, etc... A pump's performance is measured in flow and expressed in gallons per minute GPM or gallons per hour GPH. The higher the flow, the better the performance.

Q.How do I know which type of pump to purchase?
A.It really depends on the condition of the water you need to pump. If the water is sandy, muddy abrasive, or has small particulates, you should purchase a semi-trash or trash pump. If the water you intend to pump is always clean, like a swimming pool, hot tub, or water garden, a clean water pump would be fine. If you are going to pump fluids besides water, the chemical pump is the best choice. in the case of consistent pumping of water that has been chemically treated or is mixed with other fluids, the chemical pump is again going to be the best choice.
