Battery Powered Chainsaw Recall

The reason for the recall is that the chainsaw’s motor controller may overheat during operation of the unit, posing fire and burn hazards during operation. This recall involves the following DR Power battery-powered chainsaws:

Note: The model and serial number are printed on a white label that is to the right of the chainsaw handle.

What DR Power will do:
DR Power is offering consumers a prorated refund, determined based on the age of the unit, in accordance with the below schedule:

Age from Date of Purchase	Refunded % of purchase price
0-2 years	100%
2-3 years	65%
3-4 years	60%
4-5 years	55%
5-6 years	50%
6-7 years	45%

Proof of destruction:
DR Power will require proof of destruction of the unit. Consumers will need to remove the positive terminal of the chainsaw and provide proof of same prior to issuance of the refund.

Please watch the instructional video and submit your image proof using the form provided below. Image files must not exceed 10 MB, and you may upload a maximum of two images.

Expectation:
DR Power will review your request for refund, once verified DR Power will email you a confirmation with the amount due back. Please allow 2-4 weeks for either a refund to credit card used at time of purchase (only if still valid) or for a check to be mailed to the address on file.
