Excellent performance. The trimmer/mower started on the first crank straight out of the box. I was cutting through 3-4ft Johnson grass and looked like the video ad. The machine cut through like it was nothing. I am well pleased. I should have bought one sooner.

The trimmer arrived with a badly bent axle and broken wheel. DR sent the new parts out and it was easily repaired. The trimmer starts easily and runs smooth and quietly! It maneuvers very easily and does a great and FAST job of trimming around our expansive yard! Swapping out trimmer line is quick and easy! And yes! soaking the line for at least 3 days prior to installation DOES help!

Well I'll make this short. Here is my review points. First the bad then the good. 1. Installed brake for beaver blade as shown. Did not work. Shortened rod to make it work. Should be factory installed option. 2. My farm is hilly. Not easy to push this around and up and down. It's like trimming with a mower but no blade to worry about. 3. Had to tighten the belt after 2nd use to get the cords to spin. Would like to see better belt tension setup. 4. Difficult to use on uneven ground. The good.. 1. Does start easy. 2. When belt tension is right does cut well. 3. Seems durable, time will tell. 4. Tech support is pretty good. Helpful and want you to be satisfied. 5. Would work well on flat level ground. Overall, I paid the higher price for this thinking it would be worth it. Not sure now. Thought about returning within my six months and buying other brand. Shipping would cost close to the difference I would save. So, will probably keep and use where I can. This will definitely not replace my straight shaft Stihl. I will still have to use it where this can't go. That's why my rating is a 3.
Response from DR SupportWe appreciate the time and thought you put into providing us feedback. We do not factory install the brake as it is only needed for the beaver blade and not all customers purchase this. We apologize for the difficulty in installing the brake as well as with the belt. We are happy to hear our tech team was able to assist you with these issues. A suggestion for using it on the hillier portions of your farm, which you may have tried, would be to trim side to side rather than up and down. This will make the work a little easier. Again, thank you for your feedback.

I am SO pleased with my purchase. This machine cuts through thick stands of Russian Thistle (tumbleweed) like a hot knife through butter and almost vaporizes them! I'm recovering from hip replacement surgery (3 mos. ago) and was concerned about being able to handle the machine but it's much easier than I'd anticipated. I installed the Quick Lock Trimmer Head yesterday after using the standard head for a week and finding it difficult to change the trimmer cords. The Quick Lock is a vast improvement and worth the additional cost. If the first 15 hours of use is any indication, I'm looking forward to many years of reliable service from this machine. Well worth the cost!

Worked like a champ!
Posted by: David M. from ATHENS, TN on 10/02/2015

We recently purchased six acres and the cordless weed whacker just wasn't cutting it. Between the fence perimeter and cleaning out the weeds in the chicken yard (no chickens yet to handle the weeds) and a grove of pines on the back side of the lot, it would have taken several hours with the weed whacker, not to mention killing my shoulder. The DR Trimmer Mower worked perfectly. Even the wife stepped out on the back porch as I was shredding the old overgrown garden to bits and commented that the DR was definitely a worthwhile investment. I'm loving it and look forward to many years of use.

Not as good as previous model
Posted by: Mary R. from PEYTON, CO on 09/28/2015
Rating:
We bought the machine equivalent to this in 1994. We were quite happy with the old one, although we did not treat it as well as it treated us. The old one is now dying. However, when it runs, it has more power than the new one, cutting tougher weeds. Also the new one arrived with a few things out of adjustment. For example, it would not stop when the throttle lever was moved to stop. Also, changing the oil is a pain. There's no drain plug, so we have to tip the whole machine over to get the old oil out. Yuk! Overall, we are still pleased with the design, but the manufacturing quality seems to have slipped a bit.
Response from DR SupportThank you for your feedback Mary on your newer DR® Trimmer. And thank you for being a long time DR® customer! We can see in your customer file that we’ve spoken to you about the issues you mention in this review. Someone from our Tech Support Department is going to give you a call to ensure that you’re in a good place now with your Trimmer. Your satisfaction is important to us and we want you to have many years of successful trimming. We do offer an oil extractor pump which we think you’ll find hugely helpful with draining the oil for not only your DR® but any other outdoor power equipment that you may own. It is item 21581 and you can look for it either on our web site or in our current catalog. We’ll be in touch soon – we very much appreciate your business!

This trimmer has handled everything I've asked of it so far. Extremely heavy grass bogs it down a bit, so the more powerful model would be a better choice for that task. Thanks to the sales rep on the phone I have exactly the right model for my needs.
Response from DR SupportThank you for providing feedback on your new DR° Trimmer Mower When mowing for the first time in really thick and or tall vegetation it’s sometimes best if possible to keep the weeds being taken down on either your left or right-hand side rather than go directly nose first into the tall / thick material. This will help control a bit more how much material you’ll be taking down and help alleviate any bogging down. You have a great model and we’re certain it will prove to be a winner for you. Thanks so much for your business and for choosing DR° Power. We appreciate your business.

Posted by: Paul & Misti from SCAPPOOSE, OR on 07/18/2015

Just bought 5 over grown acres a year ago. Tried clearing with a gas weed eater but it was very slow progress and it caused lower back pain. The DR Trimmer cuts brush and tall grass 15-20 times faster than a weed eater and caused no lower back pain. The DR Trimmer is very light and easy to maneuver. I can now clear an area in 1 hour with the DR Trimmer that used to take an half or full day to clear with a weed eater. You can adjust the handlebar to your comfortable size so you can push and pull the trimmer from a upright position. No bending over and swinging a heavy weed eater. A most excellent machine. Saves me many hard hours of labour and keeps my body from aching after a successful day on the property!

This is my second one I have purchased. I got one for my home and found myself not using it very much because of the string attachment that comes with it is not real good. I them purchased one of their DR® Quick-Lock™ Trimmer Head and that made this a tool I do not wish to be without! I purchased my second for my cabin (I got tired of lugging it back and forth). With my second I ordered the DR® Quick-Lock™ Trimmer Head with the trimmer. I wish they would give the buyer a option of just getting the DR® Quick-Lock™ Trimmer Head with the unit. I have 2 of the trimmer attachment that comes with it just laying around and sooner or later I will throw them away and I know they cost something which I had to pay and then replace them with the DR® Quick-Lock™ Trimmer Head. My year looks a lot better now because I just could not use a hand held trimmer with my back.

For 35+ years I've lived down a 600 ft. gravel road with 2 acres of secluded natural foliage. I have no trouble growing what many call pesty weeds with no artistic layout. Wild Grasses, Mints, Willows, Virginia Creeper,e.g. propagate in abundance which my horses, hand tools and gas lawnmower did a fair job. Well, the current shift in season distribution of temperatures and water is producing 3 foot grasses and herbal "weeds" that are rough to control. My solution: the DR Trimmer/Mower 7.25 Pro - wow! what a machine. I can knock down and mulch most anything less than 3/8". Most vines and saplings are easily whipped down. The Blue Spiral Cord is amazing. My old weed whip will be used very little if at all.

We have used this trimmer 2 times so far and it has worked fine so far. Unit starts easy. We have gotten older and the electric start was a wise choice for people out age. It works really well on tall grass and fence line. We have had a lot of rain this year, so keeping up with mowing and etc. this year has been extra duty for mowers and trimmers. Unit is easy to handle and push even for us. Thought about getting the self-propelled unit, but decided against it as some self-propelled systems are faster than we are. Now that is not saying this unit would be that way, just did not want to take the chance. Would highly recommend this unit at this time. Will try to update this after we have had a chance to used it more.

Great machine...

Have only used this one time so far. I had an issue with it continuing to run when I pulled the throttle back. After contacting the company I was told to adjust the throttle cord to correct the problem. So that seems to help. My one wish would have been a hard rubberized handle instead of the softer foam one. Sense I am using this near fencing it has already ripped on the side. I would think it would not have done that with a tougher material. Other than that it has done what I expected of it. Starts easily and is tackling very high thick grass and woody weeds. I would recommend this product.

I wish I could say how the machine works but it was broken before it came out of the box. The axle was bent and 1 wheel completely ruined. I got the machine to use on the 3 day 4th of July weekend and couldn't because it will not even roll. Very poor packaging. Wheels should have been left off and put on at delivery.

The trimmer works OK. I was cutting 18" tall grass this weekend. the trimmer made some funny noises in the cutter head. I find ordering product from DR confusing. DR has hidden charges. for example, I was charge a P&D fee - I have no idea what this is. You offer of free financing is mis-leading. You charge a convenience fee for free financing. I'll think twice about making future purchases. Thanks, Kurt W. Stuebs

I purchased this Trimmer/Mower last month after wanting one for several years. I have used it once and was very satisfied. It is easy to handle and is balanced well for easy pushing.. I love the electric start.I am a 70 year old woman so I needed something that would do a good job without stress and hassle. I use it for clearing the edges of my pastures where the riding mower/tractor can't be used because of rocks and uneven terrain..very happy with my purchase..I gave it 4 stars only because of the price being more than other mower/trimmers on the market.

What a machine

I have four acres with a pond and many evergreens. Two years ago the township put in new roads with very steep ditches. Prior to that I could mow the ditch with my mower. Not know! Tried a self propelled traditional walk behind only getting frustrated. After research and trying to find one of these used went all in and received it yesterday. Put it to work straight away. The ditches had cattails that were maybe at this time 1 to 1.5 inches thick. Areas area continuously draining. With my traditional string trimmer it would take me an hour to trim and not even touch those ditches. In just over an hour with my DR Pro I had it all cut and trimmed. Even better because of the ball guide that kept a nice even cut unlike the hand held string trimmer. With that all side I had can also say I was not nearly as exhausted. It's so easy to work with.

LOVE the trimmer! Wish I'd paid more attention, or had been informed about, the self propelled model! I've got some serious inclines, and the self propelled model would have made a HUGE difference. Otherwise, it's a bad a*# piece of machinery, that I wish I'd had years ago, and I've already been bragging on it to anyone who comes within ear shot. So glad I got the quick change head, but do get the self propelled model.

I am somewhat disappointed in the machine. I need it to get under my split rail fence without pushing it under. I thought I could walk along and it would cut under it but have to push it under like using a lawnmower which I have been doing for years. I could have bought a couple good lawnmowers for this price!!! You may be getting it back since I have a 6 month trial period.

When we received our DR, there was no key for the electric start or an owners manual. I called and the man was very helpful and we received the missing items in 4 days. Your owners manual talks about a primer bulb. Our DR only has a manual choke on the engine which is not mentioned (no big deal, but!). Also, there is a black wire with a white tip hanging out under the manual choke which the manual does not mention. The DR starts right up and it has power to cut off mature green brier stems. It pushes easily on our uneven ground. I am very satisfied with our purchase.

I like the trimmer & it works good. cuts weeds & even smaller berry bushes very well. however there are a few things that would make it much better. 1- figure out how to make the oil drain plug accessible. tipping it on it's side to drain the oil is not a good idea. 2- it should come stock with the quick change head instead of making people buy it separately. 3- the gas tank should be a little larger. I would rate it higher but those things bother me.

I purchased the 7.25 Pro. I'm cutting weeds up to my chin. Powerful little machine. For the tough stuff, use the orange cord with teeth. One problem: The Quick Lock Trimmer Head is difficult to work with. The thread goes in easy, but you'll need pliers to get it out... It can be a process getting the cord out.

My DR arrived in 2 days, got it out of the box put the string on it, put oil in it, gas in it and first pull it started. The mower has good power and the string seems to last. The only thing I would change is the wheels, the hard rubber wheels are a little difficult on rocky rough terrain. If it had pneumatic tires I would give it 5 stars.

I wish I had bought one of these fifteen years ago when I bought my 26 acres. I'm going to be caught up with my trimming in no time. This thing eats thru weeds like a hungry goat. I managed to find two extension cords and several chunks of fence wire lost in the weeds. I just stopped, untangled things, and fired the trimmer back up. With my old beat up push mower this would have spelled disaster. No damage, and only a minor inconvenience with this trimmer. This trimmer is lighter and much more maneuverable than anything else I've ever used. Like the title says, I wish I could leave six stars!

I bought this trimmer/mower to trim under trees and it performs very well. Previously I used a hand-held trimmer which was very difficult with all of the bending to get under the trees. This trimmer makes keeping the area clean under the trees with little to no bending and does a fabulous job. In addition, my hand-held trimmer generally covered me with the clippings. This trimmer does a great job in keeping the clippings off of you.

I had the 8.25 Pro XL model, with the 16" wheels it was terrific in getting around my hilly terrain, and it cut excellent. However, the bottom of trimmer is open so all the weed debri created a mess and it was very labor intensive to clean. Sorry, but I had to send it back. I also wanted a oil drain plug which it had but it was totally sealed, it was unusable as a drain plug. Hope they fix those issues. If you need an oil pump then they should include it. thank you, JLO

This is my 3rd DR Trimmer I have used them for the last 25 years my first 2 had the tilt head left or right great feature my new one doesn’t. My new one came with 16 in wheels good for maneuverability but put the cutting head at an angle scalping the grass no mater the string setting. DR did send me 14 in. wheels correcting his problem. Now for the cutting head I feel is the worst designed one to date, I’m guessing one of the bean counters designed it, it is very hard to load and remove the cutting cord also you waste 7 inches of cord every time you load it. They do have different cutting head but they want $59.00 for it appears to be easy to load but only one cutting height. The only thing else I can say after over 25 yrs of ownership is if it ain’t broke don’t fix it.

I get my DR Trimmer Pro last month. I have to clean 2½ miles of ditches full of tough weeds, bulrush and very strong big ferns. This machine is very power full, I can mulch all these tough plants at a very good speed and the light weight of the trimmer allowed me to do a back and foard movement to do a perfect clean up. The blue string last for a very long time, I di not even broke one, just slowly get short. The Briggs & Stratton start at the first or second stroke all the time, I am very please with this trimmer. I strongly recommend it. The order and customer service persons where very pleasant and helpful. I think the DR company should install an under cover on the push model like the self propelled one, the inside of unit is getting full of debris and some can get stocked in the belt.

DR MOWER opinion

Hello..this is my 2nd DR Mower. I had purchased one while living in VA but had to leave it behind. It wasn't hardly used!! :( I was so sad to leave it behind but had no choice. I moved back to Alaska to my home I had left behind and the weeds had taken over and it was bad looking. I had two lawn mowers people gave me but they couldn't do the weed cutting and both died. I had no other way to cut my badly overgrown yard. I couldn't afford to pay anyone , rent anything or buy a new unit. I didn't know what to do. I was so depressed. So I called up DR Mower and talked to Lisa , who by the way was VERY nice and found out there was an option to do a payment plan!!! I was approved for a card and was able to do the Payment plan for $27 a month which was very doable for me on my limited income! I received the Dr Mower in just a week or so and I used it and love it and am excited to go out shortly to continue cutting my weeds down!! Thank you! Respectfully, Kathy Olding Tok, Alaska Please give Lisa a raise!! she deserves it!

My DR always starts on the first pull, hot or cold, Check your oil every time. keep it clean and it will last you for a long long time. I rate it 5 star.

I am very pleased with this trimmer started on the second pull and the first pull on every start up afterwards. The cutting is outstanding went through everything I through at it with ease. Installing the trimmer line is simple and very easy. Keep a pair of needle nose pliers with you and a flat head screwdriver this will help you a lot. Watch the video that is online on YouTube it is very helpful on in stalling the trimmer line. The trimmer arrived at my front door and it was packed very solidly. I will in the future get a trimmer that is self propelled, I have a lot of uneven ground to navigate here. If you want a quality product, this is the one to put your hard earned dollars in to, don't waste your money no something less expensive, trust me this is the trimmer you are looking for!

Replaced our hard working 12 year old DR Trimmers with the new 7.25 Pro DR Trimmer/mower. Was very impressed with how light the new trimmers are. However, I was not impressed with a wheel that came apart at the hub with the first use. Quickly replaced! A design flaw IMO is the fuel/power cable. It is exposed in front of the motor and sometimes brushed by limbs and tall weeds. The old trimmer cable was not exposed.

Very pleased with the product. Decided to go with the more powerful 7.25 Pro. Glad that I did. Four-feet weeds go down with ease and I beat it hard with going after thickets and dense undergrowth. Has a great quality feel to it. Handlebars are comfortable and it is a much quieter machine than I thought it would be. Very happy with product and I highly recommend it.

There are a number of choices when it comes to trimmer/mowers and it’s tempting to opt for one of the cheaper makes. I decided on DR because of their reputation for producing heavy duty equipment. I’ve not been disappointed. I have about a mile of high-tensile wire fencing which was heavily overgrown with grass, weeds, brambles, etc. The DR made light work of it and the fence line now looks better than it has done for years. Thank you. My only regret is that I didn’t get the self-propelled trimmer.

DR Trimmer Mower 7.25 engine Briggs N Stration

The DR Trimmer Mower 7.25 engine is the best mower you can buy. I cut high grass, weeds that were over my head well over 5 feet high and also cut sticks with the thicker cord .175 the blue cord. It Starts very easy, you can put it on to the choke position then move to start after pulling cord if needed or leave on start and have other control in the rabbit position. it is well worth the price it cost.

We just recently received our trimmer/mower and have been using the heck out of it! We have four acres of heavily wooded/brushy/weedy land and are trying to re-claim a lot of it to put in a pool and garden area. So far this mower has done wonders! I also took it to the farm where i board my horse and cleared up a lot of over grown grass and weeds around the tack/wash area. The owner is an elderly lady and has little help so we all do what we can. This made the job a breeze! Thanks so much!

I used my new trimmer this morning and am really pleased with its performance. In heavy weeds and grass it just keeps cutting right along. There is an area that has some rocks, I just power back so that the rocks are not thrown, and the trimmer still cuts the grass just fine. I bought my first Dr. trimmer, I believe in 1997, and it is still working fine, but this new trimmer is so far advanced that it is just what I needed.

Powerful Trimmer, Starts everytime on one pull!

I chose the DR trimmer based on previous customer reviews and I was not disappointed. This model came fully assembled, I only had to set the handle at the appropriate angle, install the cord and add oil and gas. The trimmer has sufficient power to cut dense grass and weeds without bogging down or clogging. Although only having owning it for a couple weeks, I have trimmed along more than a mile of fence and irrigation pipe, most of which had not been trimmed for over 3 months. The trimmer handled the extensive growth with ease. I also ordered the Durablade kit for thicker weeds and the Trimsafe Guard. I highly recommend getting both of these. Although you can operate the trimmer close to fence and structures even with the 175 mil cord, the Trimsafe Guard makes it a lot quicker. The Durablade is a must for thicker weeds. The instruction manual for maintaining the trimmer is top notch!

I purchased this trimmer to replace a 2005 DR that was showing signs of tiring. This one is a step up in performance and price and the superior power is welcome in the heavy grass we have this year in central Montana. Yet, the machine is still comfortably maneuverable in the rough terrain that I mow. The Subaru motor starts easily, just like the older Briggs & Stratton, which is much appreciated.

I have several acres of property & lots of trimming along fence lines, ditches trees etc. I have been using this machine for two weeks now and it appears to be well-made & designed with the power to handle the heavy-duty weed trimming I do. Lots easier than using a hand-held trimmer. The Subaru engine starts with one easy pull on the rope & runs great. One caution about engine selection if you purchase a DR trimmer...make sure there is a factory authorized service center close by for whatever brand of engine you buy. My Subaru arrived with a defective carburetor gasket & the closest service center was 75 miles away. DR took care of the problem, but I had to make two 150-mile round trips to get the engine serviced under warranty. My greatest concern with this machine at this time is how long the resin wheels will last.

Received DR Trimmer in the box and the instructions and assembly were straight forward and fast. Had it running within 1/2 hour. It is much more substantial than my heavy Stihl weed eater requiring less string change. It would be a much better product if the cutting swath was offset to the left about 3-4 inches. When traveling down a fence line I am continually getting the wheels jammed against the fence. For open, thick grass and weeds - it is awesome!

To stop the machine I have to manaully depress the armature. Perhaps this will improve with use.

I now have over three hours of use of this product and overall I am very pleased with it. The customer support has been good and the product shipped and was delivered on schedule. It was also very well packed using strong double wall boxes. I particularly like the Subaru engine. I did purchase an hour meter with the product and one issue I had is that there is no place to mount the hour meter. I had to resort to a hose clamp on the handle. Although it does work, it is not very durable it that position. The other issue I have is that when using the trimmer, I have to walk very, very slowly or else the trim line will break every 10 feet or so. This makes it very time consuming. Again I am pleased with the product overall and would recommend it to others.

Many years ago I had a DR string trimmer, but, with the old unit, long grass had a tendency to tangle around the mower's shaft. What a pleasant surprise this new trimmer is! I've now used the new unit three different times. It has taken down some pretty tall grass with no tangling whatsoever! I've continued to use it with just the green, lightest-weight line, and I've also cut some large areas of tall, heavy weeds. The line isn't even frayed! The Subaru engine has lots of power, and it is reasonably easy to start with its manual rope-pull starter. Moreover, using this DR trimmer on wheels is much easier on my arm muscles than holding and trying to control a hand-held trimmer. I appreciate that its engine will continue to run when the line is not spinning. This DR trimmer will get lots of use around our two-acre property.

Great Product So Far
Posted by: polymers from Mississippi on 07/10/2013

So far so good. I have only used the nylon trim line with the unit and have not tried the Durablade or Beaverblade. (I hope to use those in the near future). I am extremely impressed with how well this thing works. It cuts through stuff that would kill a lawn mower. The Subaru engine is awesome.. starts every time with a single pull. I have only had two negative thoughts about the unit since I ordered it. 1. DR takes quite a while to get the unit to you. I should have picked one up locally as the unit from the website took a while to get to me. When I placed the order I was told it would be 3-5 business days (plus shipping this is 6 - 8 business days) but was later told 5 -7 business days after calling to check on my order. With shipping, this is 8 - 10 business days. That's two weeks total after placing the order. The good news here is that DR didn't charge my card til the unit shipped. So, order the unit before you need it. :) 2. The trimmer line melts onto the mowball and can be difficult to remove. If you have a lot of work to do, I recommend carrying around a flat head screwdriver and needlenose pliers. Other than these two items, this unit is excellent. While I don't know how the unit will holdup over time, I am familiar with Subaru / Robin engines and have had great service from them. So far I have no problem with strongly recommending this product.

After 20 minutes of running my brand new trimmer I noticed something leaking from the engine. I shut it off and found it was leaking gas. I believe its coming from the gasket between the carboretor and the engine itself. So I guess so far its a poor machine. I will have to update after I talk with DR about getting it back to them. My dad has a comparable machine he bought 10 years ago and actually came over to finish the job I started. We started comparing the machines and found like everything else in life the quality has gone down hill over the years. Hopefully customer service is still what it was....

I previously owned an electric start Pro Trimmer that I purchased 10-12 years ago. This model is essentially the same except that it does not have an electric start. The new engine is harder to manually start than my previous one, too hard for my wife to start it. I wish that I had purchased one with an electric start. With my previous trimmer, the trimming cords frayed after heavy use and almost never broke off of the hub, providing long life. With this trimmer, the trimming cords break off at the hub after only mowing with it for 10-15 minutes. This happens both with green and blue cords. It greatly reduces the usefulness of the trimmer due to the frequent stops to change cords and the cost of the cords. The cords break quickly whether or not they are soaked in water for several days first.

When we first received the trimmer, my husband tried it and he broke four sets of trimmer chords, he was pretty frustrated. Don't know what the problem was, so then I tried it on weeds and high grass taller than I am, and it cut perfectly. I cut so much that my chord has worn down to barely nothing ( and it's still cutting) (I'm using the green chord). I just LOVE this trimmer, it does the job and works great. The only things I found wrong is; when I shut it off, it stays on, I have to push the thing on the side to shut it down completely, minor adjustment needed. I wish I had gotten the self propelled....I.m getting too old for all this work. And, would like a bigger gas tank so I can mow even longer!!!! My dad had one of these years ago and I remember using it and it was a great product then and they still are today!!!

Q.DOES THE ENGINE CHARGE THE BATTERY WHEN RUNNING, OR DO YOU HAVE TO USE AN EXTERNALLY CHARGER?
A.When using your electric starting trimmer mower, the trimmer engine must be operated for at least 45 minutes to maintain a proper battery charge. If the battery loses its charge, you'll need to use a trickle charger to recharge it. The charger should have an output of 12 volts at no more than 2 amps.

A.With our Walk-Behind Trimmer Mowers you can only trim and mow on slopes up to 20 degrees, which translates to a 36.4% slope.

We also recommend never mowing a slope if you feel unsafe on it or feel the need to shift your weight to keep the mower stable.

Q.Is this a self propelled machine?
A.The TR4 7.25 Pro Trimmer Mower does not feature the self-propelled drive assembly. The 16" resin spoke wheels make this model an ideal choice for customers who need to trim on or off the lawn where conditions could be a little rough. The larger wheels make it more maneuverable for mowing on slopes and along ditches.

The TR4 8.26 Pro-XL Trimmer Mower offers the self-propelled mechanism with variable speeds from 0 to 3 mph. Just choose the speed that best fits your pace and mowing conditions.

Q.What is the HP on this Model?
A.Our Trimmer/Mowers feature a Briggs & Stratton engine. B&S uses Foot Pounds of Torque to measure the power as it is more accurate than HP. There is also no exact conversion from HP to FPT. We can give an approximate number of 7.25 FPT = 4.7 HP.

Q.what is "splash" lubrication?
A.Splash lubrication is a method of applying lubricant, a compound that reduces friction, to parts of a machine. In the splash lubrication of an engine, dippers on the connecting-rod bearing caps are submerged in oil with every rotation. When the dippers emerge from the oil trough, the oil is splashed onto the cylinders and pistons, lubricating them.

Q.How is the mowing height set?
A.Thank you for your interest in the DR 7.25 Pro Trimmer/Mower.

The Walk Behind Triimmer/Mower Cords go on in seconds, no tools required. Choose from 5 different cutting height adjustments (1.5" to 3.5") at the same time you attach your cords. No tools and no extra time required. Set the cutting height low for trimming, or set it high for off-lawn mowing of tall grass and weeds.

Unlike most trimmers, the DR wide-body design prevents vegetation from wrapping and tangling around the trimmer head (which tends to stall the engine. Even in tall grass, the DR Trimmer Mower keeps on keeping on.

Q.Are the wheels on the 7.25 resin also like the 6.75? I know they are two inches larger. I am about to order another from you and was curious about the wheels. Thanks.
A.Hello, thank you for your question. The wheels on the Walk Behind Trimmer 7.25 are 16" resin wheels with a rubber tread. Having the larger wheels makes it easier when pushing over rough or uneven ground. I hope this helps in making your decision.
