Woodstove fan keeps your home warmer!

Spread your woodstove's heat with this innovative and virtually silent fan. Place the fan on top of your wood-burning stove and the heat from the fire will activate a thermo-electric module that drives the 9" diameter anodized blade. This thing truly does the job. It used to take quite some time to get my shop heated but with the woodfan on the stove it literally gets the room warm in about a quarter of the time. well worth the price.

Woodstove Fan does as intended

The room the woodstove fan is in is 27' x 12'. The far side of the room was always cool. Once the woodstove Fan warms up, the woodstove fan moves the heat through out that room. I will buy another one once the price goes down.

this fan circulated air extreemly efficiently

I found this fan very easy to use, efficient, quiet, and safe to use with small children around. It markedly increased the efficiency of my wood stove, circulating the air enough to heat two connected rooms. It is well worth the initial cost of the product.

interesting but ineffectual

I used a Stirling engine fan several years ago and it put out a strong breeze that quickly circulated hot air through the room. This uses thermo electric modules to power an electric motor. The blades turn once it gets hot but there's not much air movement.

Works well to distribute heat in a large open room

The simplicity of the fan system is its best feature. Set it on top of a wood stove and light the fire, the fan starts when the surface heats up.

Fan distributes heat well

The fan distributes heat well, is silent and works well. We have it on top of a wood-burning stove and have noticed a more even temperature in different parts of a large, open room. I would recommend.

Product Q&A
Ask a Question for This Product
Sort By:
Q.How far would it project the heat from the wood stove?
A.The woodstove fan can move 150 cubic feet of air a minute. It increases the efficiency of the stove by improving the circulation of warm air. Warm air will circulate several feet away from the stove as the fan pushes warm air out into the living area rather than just rising above the stove.

Q.What is the fan made of that you can set it on top of a hot wood stove?
I just find it hard to believe that your product will stand up after prolonged exposure to extreme heat.
A.The Woodstove Fan is made out of aluminum with anodized aluminum blades and has a handle on top that stays cool. The Fan draws cooler air from behind and the base of the Fan needs to make contact with a heat source of at least 150?F. The Fan will work with any free-standing heating stove, regardless of the fuel type, but it is not recommended for top loading stoves. Thanks for your inquiry.

Q.Will work on propane stove?
I have a propane heating stove that lets heat out heat through grate on top of stove.
A.For the Woodstove fan to work properly it has to sit on a surface that reaches 150 degrees F. If the surface of your stove gets that hot then it will work fine, regardless of the fuel type.

Q.What powers it?
A.The Woodstove Fan generates its own electricity through the difference in temperature. The base must make contact with a heat source of at least 150-degreeF and the top of the fan must remain cool. The Fan needs to draw cooler air from behind in order to operate. The actual rotation of the blade as well as the cooler air and the heat source are the essential elements needed for the Fan to operate.

Q.Does this product work with Pellet Stoves?
A.The Woodstove Fan is Made to sit on the top of freestanding wood-burning stoves: heat stoves, wood stoves, pellet stoves, wood cookstoves, not recommended for top loading stoves. Recommended for wood heat stove range of 400 - 650 degrees F, higher than 700 degrees F could damage the fan.

Q.Warranty and where is it made?
What type of warranty, if any, is included with this item? Where is it made? (My guess is China or some other third world country). Do you offer repairs for this item out of warranty? Where are defectifve units sent for repair (both in and out of warranty)? Thank you for your assistance.
A.This fan is made in Canada. It comes with a 1 year warranty. If you did have a warranty issue the first step would be to call the manufacturer. They provide contact info with the fan. They would instruct you from there. Thank you.
