Carbon Steel Chipper Knife
This is no ordinary knife. Industrial-grade, high-carbon/high-chromium forged alloy tool steel makes it exceptionally strong with an excellent edge-holding ability. Precision ground for efficient cutting and long life.
Long-Life Industrial Bearings
The bearings are rated grade 10, the highest industry grade available.
A solid cast-iron housing provides maximum strength and durability. Case-carbonized inner and outer races provide wear resistance, quiet operation
and long life. A zerk fitting allows for easy greasing.
Massive Solid-Steel Flywheel
The flywheel is 16.5" in diameter and is cut from 3/4"-thick heavy steel using the latest in plasma-cutting technology. The result is a perfectly balanced flywheel that weighs 55 lbs. (33 lbs. on the Bottom-Discharge model). The massive size of this flywheel provides the inertia necessary to power through knotty, hardwood branches up to 4-1/2" thick.
PTO Shaft
The PTO shaft is a shielded and self-adjusting, 6-spline shaft. The length adjusts automatically as you raise or lower the chipper unit with your PTO lift.
