This Motor Packs a Punch!
The 10-Ton DR Dual-Action Electric Splitter goes toe-to-toe with the big gas splitters. It's the fastest electric splitter on the market and it plugs right into a regular 110V outlet. No fumes and and no engine noise. Run it right in your garage or tow it anywhere. A powerful and efficient 1.8kW motor generates 10 tons of pressure, but only requires a universally available 110V outlet on a 15amp circuit. The electric model may also be converted to gas power with our optional power conversion kit.
All of our Dual-Action Log Splitters use a simple innovation to take a big chunk of time out of log splitting projects. Ordinary splitters split in one direction only, forcing you to reverse the ram and wait until it returns to it's starting point before you can load another log. But with two-way splitting, that waiting game is a thing of the past. And we offer your choice of power: gasoline, electric, or 3-point hitch!

Dual-Action Electric Model
The power of the X2 Ram is generated by our
beefy powerplants—both gas and electric.
We
designed and engineered these Dual-Action
models to deliver faster splits no matter how
tough the wood.
We've put it all in a compact
package made to fit in a corner of your
garage when not in use. They weigh less than half of
conventional hydraulic splitters, so they are
easy for one person to maneuver.
And did
we mention they're road towable? Available
fenders, tail lights, and ball hitch mean you
can tow it to your back forty or all the way
across town.
DR Dual-Action Log Splitter Features Include:
The X2 Ram!
Because the wedge travels in both directions you can split twice as fast as conventional splitters. Plus, you don't spend half your time waiting for the ram to return before you can make another split!
Rugged Hydraulics
The hydraulic pump generates constant pressure of 4000psi in the cylinder. Steel piston compression seals provide consistent power with no leaks year after year.
Rapid feeding and processing
A heavy-gauge steel log tray provides a stable surface for positioning logs and a comfortable working height.
Tow it anywhere on your property
16" tires are DOT approved allowing towing across town or to any part of your property, even in muddy or snowy conditions.
Optional Road Towing Kit
Allows for highway transport at speeds up to 30 mph.
Conversion Kit
Lets you convert from electric to gas power for remote use. Switch over to gas power for splitting in locations where you don't have access to electricity.

Great Wood Spltter
This is probably the best item we have bought. It is so easy to use my 11 year old grandson can use it without any trouble. Its so quite and no maintenance required. We have split wood up to 22 inches with no problem. It purrs like a kitten, and splits wood like a 10 ton gorilla.

This product has great portability and power!
We purchased this log splitter approximately 6 years ago because we know DR products are reliable and well-built. We had installed a fireplace at our camp and the DR log splitter was our very next purchase. Our family's system that we have used over the years requires the men to cut the logs and the splitting is done by myself and my mother-in-law. I am in my fifties and my mother-in-law is in her seventies. The DR log splitter has made quick work out of logs at least 12" in diameter and has kept us in firewood for an entire winter! The fact that we "the old ladies" do the splitting shows the ease and power of this machine. We also love the fact that we can throw it in the back of our truck to take it wherever it needs to go!

This product does what it was advertised to do
I first bought a 5 ton log splitter with which I was not completelyu satisfied. You graciously exchanged it for a 10 ton which works pefectly. As a city boy who moved to an area of the country (Martha's Vineyard) which has the highest electric rate in the world, I use the log splitter frequently to keep my wood supply in stock and thus hold my electric bills down.

Exceptional quality and ergonomics
Our home is 99% wood heated with firewood from our woodlot. 6 to 8 cords are harvested, split , stacked , and used each year. An 11 year old 5 ton DR splitter, and a 27 ton gas splitter have done the work in the past. Electric power for a splitter gives us ability to split at any time, quietly, with little fuss or setup.
The DR Dual 10 Ton Electric splitter seemed to fit our needs. Now on our 3rd cord, it has performed well, is well thought out for ease of use with little maintenance other than simple cleaning. It is a quality machine that does what it should. It has easily split knots, crotches, heliotropic grained wood that even the gas splitter stumbles with.
The cons? Well, it is slow, and perhaps my fault misinterpreting the cycle time as a complete "cycle" forward and reverse. This is a "dual action" machine: the real time cycle splitting an average size butt ( 12" - 18" ) one way . is 25 to 29 seconds; not nearly the specified 21 seconds for one direction of the dual action splitter..My error thinking that "cycle" was in both directions. For the 6-8 cords we do each year, compared to a 10-12 second cycle for the old 5 ton DR with 2 speeds, it adds up. .
We will keep the DR Dual, the 27 ton gas is old, noisy, and fussy,
But DR: couldn't you please put a faster pump on our splitter? Please ?

Now I look forward to splitting
Yes, it's everything they say, but there's something l love about it that never gets mentioned. My wife and i often build smaller fires ( I call them "2-hour fires"). with my DR splitter i can position logs in a way that lets me split them into eights, something i'd never have the ax skills to accomplish. The smaller size makes them easier for both of us to handle and as a result, we enjoy our fireplace more than ever. i split in the garage now, and there's nothing better than spending rainy afternoon with the garage doors open splitting inside. i love that it's electric. i only use it seasonally, and not having to worry about whether a sleepy gas engine can be awakened makes it perfect.
