Brush Blade for Self-Propelled DR Field & Brush Mower

26" Heavy-Duty Brush Blade

Thicker and heavier than the Multi-Purpose brush blade that is shipped standard on all DR Field and Brush Mowers. Extra weight and mass creates greater momentum as the blade spins, which makes it easier and faster to cut tough, woody material.

Buckthorn Buster

Rating:
Just a Dynamo on Buckthorn under two inches, with the extra weight it chops through brush a little easer than the all-purpose blade. And the double cutting edge a no-brainer!

Great blade
Posted by: Allen C. from Lacrosse, WA on 08/26/2015

The heavy duty blade is all it is suppose to be. I use it constantly and don't have to give it much maintenance. Even when I hit a rock or even a hidden metal post, it doesn't affect the blade much. Great purchase.

Should identify which side mounts to drive shaft.
Response from DR SupportThank you for your feedback on the Brush Blade for your DR Field and Brush Mower. This blade is sharp on both sides so there's no need to distinguish which side goes up. This provides a longer period of time before you have to sharpen the blade. We hope you find this info helpful and thank you for your business.

I've used the brush blade to clear up the roads on my deer lease. It made it so easy to cut up the small trees weeds an tall grass. My roads now look like county roads. With my DR mower with the brush blade we open roads that had two years growth with ease.

I replaced the original blade on my brush cutter with the heavy duty blade. Wow, what a difference! I know the old blade was dull but nothing stands in the way of the heavier blade. Time will tell if it is durable.

DR BrushMower-Could use some improvements
Posted by: Hllsider from Oregon on 06/29/2013

Prompted by an email from DR for a review here goes. This 15HP mower with 4 fwd and a reverse gear is fairly heavy to handle. I have hilly property. From the product description I was led to believe that whichever wheel had traction, it would drive the unit. NOT TRUE as soon as one wheel loses traction the thing stops moving. I replaced my prior DR unit for this thinking it was an upgrade but it just turned out to be an expensive purchase.
