DR Dual-Action Log Splitter
Harness your Category 1 tractor's power for wood splitting. Our 3-Point HItch model delivers big force (tonnage is tractor dependant) in a cycle time of just 6 seconds.
Mounts quickly, with no pump or PTO to fuss with!
Our 3 pt hitch model delivers unprecedented splitting speed from your tractor's hydraulics—up to 3x the speed of the competition. Cycle times range from 3-9 seconds, depending on your tractor. Throw burly hardwood logs up to 24" in diameter onto the heavy-duty log tray and watch your productivity go up by 300%. The splitter attaches in minutes to category 1 hitches with hydraulic couplings and there's no PTO pump to fuss with. For 25-65HP tractors (2,500 PSI recommended for best performance).
All of our Dual-Action Log Splitters use a simple innovation to take a big chunk of time out of log splitting projects. Ordinary splitters split in one direction only, forcing you to reverse the ram and wait until it returns to it's starting point before you can load another log. But with two-way splitting, that waiting game is a thing of the past. And we offer your choice of power: gasoline, electric, or 3-point hitch!

Dual-Action 3-Point Hitch
The power of the X2 Ram is generated by our beefy powerplants—both gas and electric.
We designed and engineered these Dual-Action models to deliver faster splits no matter how tough the wood.
We've put it all in a compact package made to fit in a corner of your garage when not in use. They weigh less than half of conventional hydraulic splitters, so they are easy for one person to maneuver.
And did we mention they're road towable? Available fenders, tail lights, and ball hitch mean you can tow it to your back forty or all the way across town.
The X2 Ram!
Because the wedge travels in both directions you can split twice as fast as conventional splitters. Plus, you don't spend half your time waiting for the ram to return before you can make another split!
The hydraulic pump generates constant pressure of 4000psi in the cylinder. Steel piston compression seals provide consistent power with no leaks year after year.
Rapid feeding and processing!
A heavy-gauge steel log tray provides a stable surface for positioning logs and a comfortable working height.
Tow it anywhere on your property!
16" tires are DOT approved allowing towing across town or to any part of your property, even in muddy or snowy conditions.
Split wood in half the time!
Optional Road Towing Kit
Allows for highway transport at speeds up to 30 mph.
Plenty of Power!
The 6.5 HP chain-driven,overhead cam Briggs & Stratton engine produces 9 ft. lbs. torque for all-day power and low vibration. Or choose a 1.8KW motor.
Lets you convert from gas to electric power for seasonal use. Switch over to electric power for the winter months and you can safely split wood indoors or in a shed or garage.
DR Dual-Action Log Splitter
The performance of this machine will be based off your tractor specifications. The greater PSI of your tractor hydraulics, the greater the force of the wedge (2500 PSI is optimal and maximum this machine is rated for). The higher your tractors hydraulic flow rate is (GPM), the faster the ram will move. With these specifications, you will want to keep in mind the age of your tractor. If your tractor is older, the specifications may not be as high as they were when it was new.

Will this work using the front end loader hydro connections? Kubota L2800 - 30 HP engine.
The DR 3 Point Hitch Dual Action Log Splitter is only available with the horizontal splitting action.

At 5.45 GPM you can expect the extend time of the ram to be roughly 6.2 seconds and the return or retract of the ram to be roughly 5.2 seconds.
WDSD3PX LOG SPLITTER SKID STEER DAEWOO 1760XL
With a PSI of only 2000 and a flow rate of 6.3 gpm, it looks like my little compact tractor is not ideal for this setup if I read your other recomendations....correct?
Maximum and ideal pressure rating on the pump is 2500 PSI. If your tractor is at 2500 PSI, you can expect up to 13 tons of pressure. Tractors with a low PSI will not get the 13 ton pressure and will have less splitting force. The cycle time is determined by the tractor's pump flow rate. Nine gallons per minute is ideal, anything less, cycle time will be very slow.
You will want to refer to your tractor's specifications to check if your model tractor is compatible with our Log Splitter. If you would like to speak directly with a Representative, please call toll free 1-888-550-0062. Thanks for your interest and inquiry. ph
On 3 pt hitch Dual action spliter..
I have a JD 5300 - 2750 psi - 11.4 gpm pump flow. Do I need to worry about exceeding the 2500 psi you advocate? Do I need to worry about too many gpm? Are these rates controlled by lowering tractor rpm? thanx
I have a John Deere 1023e with a hitch width of 24inches is that big enough? If not is there anyway is can move the pins so it will fit?
Would that be a better approach than using the tractor hydraulics? I could probably get higher GPM. Note that the PTO HP is slightly low, I think it is 22 versus the recommended 25.
You state upper limit of HP is 65. Any problems hooking this product to my tractor?
The main pump on my tractor is rated at 9.1 gpm and the relief valvle is set at 2276 psi. What tonnage would I get out of this splitter and what would the cycle time be? When you measure cycle time, is that the time it takes for the wedge to travel in one direction or to split the log then return to the starting position?
I have a New Holland TZ25DA Tractor 3 point- Category 1 with PSI 1875. Can this log splitter work on this tractor
