  DR Power Equipment is looking for a Fulfillment Associate to work in our Winooski location. Some of the job responsibilities include the following:  pick parts orders from numbered locations using printed "Pick List", pack parts orders using appropriate box or envelope, operate shipping computer to "Ship Confirm" all orders according to carrier, load and unload trucks, perform physical counts, perform general warehouse upkeep, receive inventory, do cycle counts, stock moves, shipping and general inventory maintenance, assemble kits and other assembly duties as required, use and maintain equipment associated in the assembly process.

  
  

  Previous warehouse/fulfillment and forklift experience required. General understanding of computers with the ability to learn and run various programs.

  Country Home Products, home of DR Power Equipment and Power Equipment Plus, is looking for a Project Design Engineer to work in our Vergennes, Vermont, office.

  
  

  Reporting to the Director of Engineering the Project Design Engineer will lead product development design projects from conceptual brainstorming design & the development stage through market launch. Assist with product definition at earlier Investigation stages. Provide hands-on engineering machine design, 3D CAD modeling and analysis, actual and virtual prototyping of power equipment assemblies, optimization analysis, analyzing and applying technology to achieve functional and performance requirements. Identify all required tasks, creates detailed project plans; ensures timely completion of tasks to schedule. Collaborate with all internal departments, world-wide contract manufacturers, outside consultants, and co-workers to achieve desired results.

  
  

  Key Duties for the Position

  • Leads product development design projects from conceptual brainstorming design & development stage through market launch.

  • Assists with preliminary and detailed investigation. Includes research, technical feasibility studies, and cost estimates

  • Assists in product definition process.

  • Develops and maintains detailed project plans including tasks, timelines and budgets and is responsible for adherence to project schedules.

  • Generates product design specification sheet which includes technical requirements QFD, CTQ’s, and project metrics.

  • Identifies and evaluates technical design alternatives.

  • Designs new products using high end engineering skills such as rapid prototyping as well as engineering motion, vibration and stress analysis.

  • Works closely with purchasing and assures that COG targets are met.

  • Creates and delivers compelling presentations to all stakeholders using CAD tools (Solid Works, AutoCAD), Adobe Photoshop, MS Project, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, MS Word.

  • Provide guidance to drafters, prototype fabricators, interns and design engineers and supervise interns and will generally take on the most complex projects to utilize their skills and experience.

  • Develops and maintains a schedule and budget for the assigned engineering project.

  • Assigns and oversees project personnel to specific phases or aspects of project such as technical studies, product design, preparation of specifications and technical plans, and product testing.

  • Assists Suppliers and Purchasing in evaluating new and modified components.

  • Evaluates and approves design changes, specifications, and drawing releases.

  • Designs product improvements to manufactured and sourced products.

  • Commits and delivers timely completion of tasks in accordance with budgets and schedules.

  • Manages outside resources that may be required on any given project, including but not limited to; industrial design, engineering design, analysis or third party contractors.

  • Interfaces with Product Managers, Purchasing, QC, Marketing and other internal customers to provide status reports and ensure needs are met.

  • Maintain confidentiality about CHP strategies, financial information and order projections.

  
  

  Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree (B. S.) from four-year accredited college or university in Mechanical Engineering or related field, with 3-5 years prior experience in a similar position or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Must have working knowledge of CAD software, technical drawings, and bill of material structure. Solidworks experience preferred.

  
  

  Required Technical Skills

  • Thorough understanding of Mechanical Engineering, Product Development techniques.

  • Ability to analyze engineering data.

  • Ability to comprehend complex schematics.

  • Consumer product design and manufacturing processes.

  • Knowledgeable in the use of CAD Machine Design.

  • Minimum of 2000hrs of solid modeling experience Solidworks strongly preferred

  • FEA analysis.

This position will provide help desk, server management and network integration solutions. Candidates must be motivated, eager to learn and excited about technology.   Major Goals and Responsibilities: Assist with day-to-day hardware and software system monitoring, management and support for our entire computer infrastructure of Servers, Workstations, Printers and WAN/LAN Networking equipment. This includes systems such as:

  The director will coordinate and direct all engineering activities to develop new products, introduce them into production, modify existing designs and coordinate the product development process from initial design phase through the beginning of manufacture. You will manage people, processes and projects and be great at all three.

  • A minimum of five (5) years of management experience in a similar environment required
  • Design of commercial and/or consumer outdoor power equipment preferred
  • Off shore manufacturing experience, specifically in Asia a must.
  • Thorough understanding of Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Product Development, and test and evaluation techniques.
